NEW FOR 2025!
➡️ Dorset Careers Hub, in partnership with edt, are providing a phone line service for parents, carers and young people who are 16+ and unclear about their options.
To support Year 11 students that are persistently absent, at risk of Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) or have not accessed their school careers provision, a three-day helpline will be available from Tuesday 26th to Thursday 28th August 2025 . The service will operate 10:00 till 21:00.
☎️ The helpline will be staffed by Careers Advisers from edt who will offer a triage service and if appropriate, provide a careers interview.
The service is fully funded by Dorset Careers Hub. The helpline is designed for parents, young people and if appropriate for teachers to call.
Please share this important initiative across your networks to support young people across the county who otherwise would not know who to ask or where to go for help.
This service is intended for young people and their parents/carers who require support and have been unable to receive it through statutory means. Please call: 01305 224600.
If you or your child is in education, we recommend speaking to your/their school or college who can help you with further guidance. Other support includes:
