Over 20 schools from across Pan-Dorset joined us at BattleLab, Dorset Innovation Park, for the Understanding Secret Dorset: Military, Security & Cyber Skills Festival.
Throughout the day, over 300 Year 8 and 9 students (ages 12-14) had the opportunity to:
🎯 Meet employers and discover real career opportunities
🛠️ Take part in hands-on, interactive skills workshops
💡 Explore different education and career pathways
🚀 Learn about the incredible organisations & opportunities right here in Dorset
A huge range of organisations came together to inspire the next generation:
South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU) | Royal Navy | British Army | Thales | CybExer Technologies | TKMS ATLAS UK | Iprosurv | Bournemouth University | Coastland College | Yeovil College
The event showcased careers education at its best, giving young people the chance to experience, question, explore and broaden their understanding of future career possibilities in Dorset's thriving defence, security and cyber sectors.
